ABB/COB Representation

Analysis building blocks (ABBs) are "templates" representing analysis concepts as semantically rich, constraint-based objects. Product model-based analysis models (PBAMs) are a type of ABB that utilize idealization relationships and represent the associativity between detailed design objects and analysis objects. Thus ABBs and PBAMs are specifically aimed at facilitating design-analysis integration (DAI) to bridge the gap between CAD and CAE.

[ ABB Categories ]

ABBs utilize the constrained object (COB) representation which combines object and constraint graph techniques and has information modeling views that are largely implementation-independent.

[ ABB Structural Views ]

These cob views include the graphical constraint schematic view which emphasizes constraint relations among objects.
